Product Materials Metal Finishes: Without Enamel Metal Finishes: With Colored Enamel
Our basic product is made when a die hits a piece of metal and stamps a design into it. These dies are commonly known as die molds. Most of the time we create pieces with two levels of detail: a raised level and a recessed level. The recessed levels can be filled with coloring or they can be left as plain metal. Below is an illustration of a two level badge.
We do things differently. All of our multi-level products are made from a single piece of metal, creating a durable piece. In our process, multiple dies strike the base metal and create the multiple relief layers. Below are to examples of recent projects that utilized this method.
Unlike the "step-like" look of multi-level die struck pieces, die cast products have smooth, gradations of levels and most resemble U.S. coin currency. They are made when we pour molten metal into a mold. See the example below.
